Since 2000 Jetboat Training International has been teaching jet drive operations in the marine industry.
Founder of Jetboat Training International, Kev Lee, was asked by Northumberland based aluminium boatbuilders, Alnmaritec, to provide some training for their customers after qualifying his jet skills on the new Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service’s fireboat Vigiles, which was built by Alnmaritec.
Kev travelled extensively working for big names such as Exxon, BP, James Fisher Angola Ltd, Shell, and many search and rescue authorities in the UK. Jetboat Training International became experts in the CALM Buoy and Hoseline handling with the Alnmaritec jet driven craft proving their worth.
In 2009 Giles White joined Jetboat Training International, Giles previously worked alongside Kev in the UK Fire and Rescue Service both being qualified Coxswains on the Plymouth Fireboat Vigiles. Giles also had 20 years experience in UK search and rescue and was a Deputy Coxswain with the RNLI. A qualified commercial yachtmaster and advanced powerboat instructor Giles took over the running of Jetboat Training International in 2014. Sadly Kev Lee passed away in 2017.
Jetboat Training International continues to serve the global marine industry with professional training in all types of jet propelled vessels.
